This Microsoft SQL Server Training Series Contains The Following Courses

Microsoft SQL Server 2019 – Introduction to Data Analysis

This course will discuss the responsibilities and functions of a data analyst. Which includes the various methods and best practices that are in line with business and technical requirements for modeling, visualizing, and analyzing data with Power BI. The course will also show how to access and process data from a range of data sources including both relational and non-relational data. This course will also explore how to implement proper security standards and policies across the Power BI spectrum including datasets and groups.

Microsoft SQL Server 2019 – Querying SQL Server

This course provides students with the technical skills required to write basic Transact-SQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server. You will learn how to write queries that return data from tables as well as create, update, or delete data in a database. These queries will allow filtering and sorting and effectively use the various data types provided by SQL Server. This course also covers the use of dynamic tables of various sorts which can allow a more sophisticated SQL user to hide implementation details from other end users accessing data from reporting tools.

    SQL Server 2019 Database Design

This course focuses on skills necessary to architect well-performing databases in SQL Server. It covers the principles and the practical tools necessary to understand and create all of the objects you would need to have a complete database. This includes a discussion of tables, data integrity, and indexes. As well as basic programming, file storage, and full-text searching. One of the primary benefits of commercial-grade databases is the availability of indexes to speed lookups. You will learn the benefits and the requirements for generating useful indexes in both OLTP (transactional) and OLAP (reporting) databases.

Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Analysis Services (SSAS)

Analysis Services is a combination of two analytical engines (VertiPaq for multidimensional cubes and Data Mining and xVelocity for Tabular Data Models) used in decision support and business analytics. It provides enterprise-grade semantic data model capabilities for business intelligence (BI), data analysis, and reporting applications such as Power BI, Excel, Reporting Services, and other data visualization tools. This course provides a full introduction to the use of both of these engines in an enterprise environment.

    Introduction to Microsoft Power BI

This course will discuss the various methods and best practices that are in line with business and technical requirements for modeling, visualizing, and analyzing data with Power BI. The course will also show how to access and process data from a range of data sources including both relational and non-relational data. This course will also explore how to implement proper security standards and policies across the Power BI spectrum including datasets and groups. The course will also discuss how to manage and deploy reports and dashboards for sharing and content distribution.

Microsoft SQL Server 2019 – Big Data

This course focuses on one of SQL Server 2019’s most impactful features—Big Data Clusters. You will learn about data virtualization and data lakes for this complete artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) platform within the SQL Server database engine. You will be shown how to use Big Data Clusters to combine large volumes of streaming data for analysis along with data stored in a traditional database. For instance, you can stream large volumes of data from Apache Spark in real-time while executing Transact-SQL queries to bring in relevant additional data from your corporate, SQL Server database.

    Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Administration

With this course, students can learn about SQL Server installation, data storage, data recovery, monitoring, security, and maintenance. Instructor James Ring-Howell brings with him over 40 years of applicable IT experience and has taught technical courses for over two decades. This Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Admin course is specifically for obtaining working IT skills and is not certification-specific training. The primary audience for this course is individuals who administer and maintain SQL Server databases. These individuals perform database administration and maintenance as their primary area of responsibility or work in environments where databases play a key role in their primary job.

Microsoft 70-765 SQL Server 2016 Provisioning SQL Databases

Instructor Chrys Thorsen prepares students to learn about the content within the legacy Microsoft Certification Exam 70-765. Though this is a legacy course, students will benefit from being able to provision databases on Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and Microsoft Azure. This exam is intended for architects, senior developers, infrastructure specialists, and development leads. Candidates have a working knowledge of the various cloud service models and service model architectures, data storage options, and data synchronization techniques.

Microsoft 70-764 SQL 2016 – Administering a SQL Database Infrastructure

Chrys Thorsen guides students through this Microsoft SQL 70-764 course on preparation for legacy Microsoft Certification Exam 70-764. By the end of this training, you will be able to administer a Microsoft SQL 2016 server. This course is intended for IT professionals responsible for installing and maintaining a Microsoft SQL Server environment. Course subject matter is still valuable for IT training students wanting to learn about database infrastructure.

Microsoft 70-467: Designing Business Intelligence Solutions with SQL Server 2012

This exam is intended for business intelligence (BI) architects, who are responsible for the overall design of a BI infrastructure and how it relates to other data systems in use. This exam is intended for business intelligence (BI) architects, who are responsible for the overall design of a BI infrastructure and how it relates to other data systems in use.

Microsoft 70-466: Implementing Data Models & Reports with SQL Server 2012

This course prep for the 70-466 exam and focuses on creating managed enterprise BI solutions.
